Trout Fishing

Fishmap
RiverWood is located in the center of prime trout fishing, whether its going for big browns and rainbows in the Niangua River, just footsteps from your lodge or one mile away at Bennett Spring and Trout Hatchery for one of the best trout streams in the Midwest. The Missouri Department of Conservation operates a trout hatchery in the Bennett Spring State Park and stocks the spring branch daily during the regular fishing season (March 1 – Oct. 31).

During the off season, anglers can fish on a catch-and-release basis. The season runs Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays from the second Friday in November to the second Sunday in February. The Niangua River is always open!!  Come fish in the river during the quiet season.
